 The Camden County Office of Emergency Management has a notification system for emergency updates from terror alerts to natural disasters. If you would like to be notified, go to the following website to register: www.camdencounty.com/public-safety/emergency-notification-form.
The system can use e-mail, text, paging and voice messaging. “We are in the age of technology where nearly everyone is connected to each other through cell phones and computers,” said Freeholder Rodney Greco, liaison to the Department of Public Safety. “This is a great way for us to reach out, in whatever way is most convenient, to notify you in cases of emergency or for any other important updates.” The County has had this system since 2009 and there are more than 200,000 residents registered. |
