Long-time Merchantville resident, Gail Meister, passed peacefully on February 3rd from ovarian cancer at Penn Hospice at Rittenhouse in Philadelphia. Gail was born January 24, 1947, in Rockville Center, New York, to Dr. Lee and Lenora (Fleischer) Roth. She is survived by her husband, Rev. J.W. Gregg Meister of Merchantville and a daughter, Miriam L. R. Meister, PhD, of Seattle, Wash. Gail lived a focused life, determined never to put off until tomorrow what could be experienced today. She, Gregg and Miriam traveled whenever they could, and she loved planning their trips. She also is survived by a brother, Merrill (Ellen) Roth of Athens, NY; a sister, Susan Nurin, of New York City; nieces and nephews Tamara and Justin (Melissa) Nurin, Stephen and Nina Roth. and numerous cousins and relatives by marriage. Relatives and friends are invited Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022 beginning 9:00 am to Platt Memorial Chapels, 2001 Berlin Road, Cherry Hill, NJ, where funeral services will begin promptly at 10:00 am.
