William "Will" Cosans

William Lobb "Will" Cosans, age 75, of North East, MD, passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019. Born in Camden, NJ, on January 26, 1944, he was the son of the late Sara Smith Cosans and Thomas Cosans, Jr. Will graduated from Valley Forge Military Academy in 1963, attended Valley Forge Military Junior College, and Rutgers University-Camden. Before being drafted into the U.S. Army, he worked for RCA Communications at Cape Canaveral, FL, on the Gemini Space Program. He was a member of Merchantville, NJ, Lodge #119 F&AM for more than 50 years, and the Boumi Shrine, Collingswood, NJ, Consistery 32nd Degree. Jack Weiss, 90

Jack Weiss, 90, of Mount Laurel passed away on June 8, 2019, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 28, 1928, in Pennsauken, NJ, to the late Oswald and Naomi Weiss. Jack was a corporal in the US Army and a veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a regional director for the aviation supply office in Philadelphia for the federal government. He was a member of Merchantville Masonic Lodge #119. He was a deputy chief of the East Pennsauken Volunteer Fire Association, No.1. Deputy Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and on Thursday, June 13, 2019 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, at Inglesby and Sons Funeral Home, 2426 Cove Rd, Pennsauken, NJ 08109. HHHS Class of 2019

On Monday, June 10th, Merchantville School welcomed back the 2019 graduating class from Haddon Heights High School. The returning grads took a "walk down memory lane" by visiting their previous teachers, seeing the school and giving advice to the current Merchantville School students. This is the first full class representing Merchantville School to graduate since the phase in began. This continues to be a great relationship between Merchantville School and Haddon Heights.

William Finlayson III, 76

William S. Finlayson III of Merchantville passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2019. He was 76. Bill was a longtime Pennsauken resident before moving to Merchantville 14 years ago.  He was a member of the Mt. Holly Elks Lodge 848, and belonged to Timonium United Methodist Church, Timonium, MD. He is survived by his beloved wife of 38 years, Sharon; three loving children, Kara-Lin Eller (Joseph), Stuart Finlayson, William Finlayson IV; three cherished grandchildren, Julian, Dane, Avalon; a caring sister, Janice Hands; and his dear niece and nephew, Kristen Engelke and Michael Hands. Susan Pims Ott, 70

Susan J. Ott, longtime Pennsauken resident passed away Friday, May 31, 2019. She was 70. A graduate of Haddon Twp. High School and Glassboro State College, Susan had retired as a teacher for Camden City Schools after over 36 years of dedication. She was an active member and supporter of the Friends of the Pennsauken Library and Pennsauken High School’s many extracurricular activities. She thoroughly enjoyed her visits to Sea Isle City and the time spent with “The Posse” and her crochet club. Daughter of the late George and Lorayne Pims; wife of the late Andrew Ott; she is survived by her two beloved daughters, Lindsay Makrinos (Chris), Jamie Ott (Pete); a cherished grandson, Cameron; a loving sister, Lynn McHugh (Joseph); dear sister-in-law, Teresa Noell (Peter); and numerous nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Her memorial service will be held 11 am, Friday, June 7th at the Gaskill-Brown Funeral Home, 33 West Maple Ave., Merchantville. Clayton J. Long of Merchantville, passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. Harriet M. Blaetz, lifelong Pennsauken resident passed away Saturday, April 27, 2019. She was 94. Harriet had retired as a Registered Nurse after many years spent working for the Methodist Hospital in Philadelphia and several doctor's offices in PA and NJ. She was also a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Merchantville.Wife of the late Robert Blaetz; mother of the late John R. Blaetz; she is survived by her two loving children, Mary E. Peter V. Mroz Jr., of Pennsauken passed away Friday, April 19, 2019. He was 85. A longtime area resident, Peter was an avid sports fan who loved playing cards and watching baseball and game shows on TV.
