We want to help small businesses get noticed for Small Business Saturday! First there was Black Friday, then Cyber Monday. Now there's Small Business Saturday on Friday, November 26th. The 2nd annual Small Business Saturday is a day dedicated to supporting small businesses on one of the busiest shopping weekends of the year. On November 26, we're asking millions of people to Shop Small at their favorite local stores and help fuel the economy. When we all shop small, it will be huge!

More than 70 people contributed recipes for the cookbook, which contains a handy index of both recipes and contributors. At more than 90 years old, Aunt Charlotte’s Candies is a fixture in downtown Merchantville. Housed in a beautiful building that was once an 1890's feed store, the Oakford family showcases a bounty of candies, pops, caramels, chocolates, pretzels and butter crunch. Halloween brings seasonal a treat, the candy apple! Today, third generation owners, Randy Susan Oakford and Penny Oakford Trost are joined by the fourth generation Ryan Trost in continuing their standard of excellence, a "Delight in Every Bite."

Register for the Annual Townwide Yard Sale |

Make money while cleaning out your clutter when you join in the fun at Merchantville's Annual Townwide Yard Sale on Saturday, September 17, 2011 starting at 9:00 a.m.! All participants will have their house address listed and a mark indicated on the maps. If you do not have a home in the Borough please register at Borough hall and we will set you up at a location in town. The donation is $15.00 per household. Proceeds benefit Merchantville Public Events. The event will be advertised in the Courier Post, the Merchantville Borough web site and the Retrospect. Maps will be available at the following locations the morning of the sale: Borough Hall, News Nook, McFarlan's Market and Merchantville Diner. Respond before the deadline of September 9, 2011. Send us your completed registration form with your name; address and $15.00 check made payable to Merchantville Public Events @ 1 West Maple Avenue, Merchantville, NJ 08109, Attention: Denise Brouse. You may pick up your yard sale kit on September 15th or 16th at 1 West Maple Avenue, Borough Hall. Kit includes: Sale sign, maps and balloons.
