Andrew Donohue, born and raised in Merchantville, passed away on August 8, 2022. He was tall, smart, charming, and outgoing. In his core, he had a wonderful soul and would never hurt anyone, bully anyone emotionally or physically. Andrew was quick to volunteer whether it be at the local school, firehouse and with community projects. He could and would work tirelessly and always wound up in the middle of things. Andrew had a gift for computers and was employed as an IT professional. Andrew's last act and gift to the world was that as an organ donor, enabling him to save or improve the lives of many others. Matthew C. Petronis Jr., of Pennsauken passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on August 3, 2022 at 67 years. John "Jack" R. Dillon, III passed away peacefully on June 5, 2022 at Virtua Hospital in Mt. Holly, NJ. Born in Camden to John R. And Cecilia M. Dillon, John was 74 years old. He was a resident of Moorestown for the last 24 years and formerly lived in Merchantville & Pennsauken. Husband of 51 years to Marion D. (nee Max) Dillon. On Saturday, May 7, 2022, Thomas J. McFadden Jr. passed away at the age of 65 after a hard-fought battle with cancer. His wife, Terry, shared the news and her gratitude for everyone who supported and cared for Tom in a FaceBook post. Tom was a lifelong resident of Merchantville, a 1976 graduate of Pennsauken High School, and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was a loving husband to Teresa “Terry” McFadden for 43 years. Together they raised three sons, Thomas McFadden and his wife, Jenn; Ryan McFadden and his wife, Carolina; and Shane McFadden. For the past 26 years Tom, along with Terry, were the proud owners of TNT Pest Control, a business he started with his mother, Barbara. He loved what he did, and quickly became known as the “Bug Man.” He was able to build long-lasting and meaningful relationships in the community with his customers, who became more like friends and family. A celebration of life, will be held on Thursday, June 2nd, from 6-10 p.m. at the Pennsauken Country Club, 3800 Haddonfield Road, Pennsauken. Full obituary.
 

Tom Torok, 73, of Merchantville, a “lifelong journalist” in his own words, an indispensable and tireless reporter and editor at The Inquirer and New York Times, a trailblazing expert on data-driven journalism, a website developer, international teacher, mentor, lecturer, and veteran, died Sunday, March 6, at Virtua Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden. In addition to his wife, Cece, son, Stephen Torok (Sarah Taylor), and daughter, Elena, Mr. Torok is survived by former wife Lena Maria Cooper, a sister, and other relatives. Three brothers died earlier. Visitation with the family is to be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 12, at the Falco, Caruso & Leonard Funeral Home, 6600 Browning Rd., Pennsauken Township, N.J. 08109. Vera Charlotte Hyncik (nee Zydor), a resident of Wiley in Marlton, formerly of New York City, Merchantville, and Mt Laurel, died on February 26, 2022 at age 93. Her husband of 70 years, Bill Hyncik, predeceased her in 2019. She is survived by her loving family, daughter Holly Sukenik (John), son, William (Marilyn), seven grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.Vera and Bill's third child, Lee Jay, passed in 1984. While the children were in school, Vera pursued her nursing career at Cooper Hospital, and also served on the Merchantville PTA and Board of Education. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday March 19th from 10-10:30 AM at the Wiley Church, 101 East Main St., Marlton, NJ. Full obituary.

Carey, Gorman "Ray", Jr., of Woodbine, left us to go to his Lord and Savior to ride forever in heaven on February 27, 2022. Ray was born at Our Lady of Lourdes in Camden, August 6, 1953 to Gorman Ray Carey Sr. and Audrey Carey (née Stone). Ray grew up in Merchantville NJ and graduated from Pennsauken High School; he was also a graduate of ACCC. Ray was a carpenter by trade for most of his life. Ray leaves to mourn his passing his mother, Audrey, his loving wife of 28 years, Lauri (née Heuer); his daughter, Samantha (Alejandro); his son, Gorman Ray Carey III (Krystal); his sisters, Michaelan (Chuck) Bickhart, Kathleen (Lee) Duffield, Theresa (Ricky) Krause and Laura Hehre; his brothers, Greg and David (Sue); his brothers-in-law, Wayne Harrigan, Chip Heuer (Dawn), and Gregg Heuer(MaryJo); his sister-in-law, Linda Sacco; his grandchildren, Kassandra and Preston Carey; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Wimberg Funeral Home, 211 East Great Creek Rd, Galloway NJ. Full obituary.
