| Resident letter applauds snow removal efforts |
| As a resident of Merchantville, I wanted to congratulate the borough on the excellent job of snow removal following the two record storms we had last month. I work for the Federal government in Washington, DC, and travel there every week. Our little town put the nation's capital to shame. You had streets well cleared (in the case of Springfield Ave., where I live, it was clear curb to curb) long before Washington DC or even Philadelphia. Good job! The government was closed for four and a half days following the storms, and I was home for the entire week. When I got back to work last week, even main streets in Washington weren't fully cleared. In many locations, travel lanes were blocked at intervals by piles of snow. Traffic was terrible. So, congratulations and keep up the good work! Randy Resor 120 Springfield Avenue |
