Today was a blazing success as Merchantville School's Pre-K and Kindergarten students had a special visit from members of the Merchantville Fire Department! These 5 and 6 year olds learned all about firefighters, the importance of fire safety fire safety, and even got an up-close look at the fire truck.The first step in fire safety education is helping children understand what fire is and why it can be unsafe. Kids are naturally curious and may play
with matches, candles, or lighters. By fostering respect rather than fear, children learn that fire is not a toy but a responsibility. We thank you to our local heroes for teaching us how to stay safe and for inspiring our future firefighters!
