Spring brings a full schedule of competitive racing and outdoor activity, as crews from across the region return to the water at Cooper River Park, 5300 North Park Drive, Pennsauken, NJ. With warmer weather and longer days, these events offer the perfect opportunity to experience the excitement of rowing while enjoying the scenic riverfront. The Knecht Cup, a major collegiate regatta attracting dozens of schools from across the country,
known for its size and level of competition, takes place on Saturday, April 11th and Sunday, April 12th. The Garden State Championships, a key state-level championship regatta, featuring high school and junior crews from across New Jersey in a day of spirited racing, takes place on Saturday, April 25th, 2026. The Cooper Cup, showcasing top junior, collegiate, and club rowing teams, takes place on Sunday, April 26th from 8:00 a.m. The Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta is the largest regular intercollegiate rowing event in the United States and takes place on Thursday, May 7th through Saturday, May 9th. The Dad Vail Regatta was one of the first intercollegiate regatta to host women’s events and today approximately fifty percent of the competitors are female athletes. They consistently host over five hundred entries in over forty events including Para Rowing and sculling.
