Stephanie Lyn Dehnhard (nee Papa) of Mantua Township, beloved wife of Matthew, passed peacefully at home after a long and courageous battle with cancer on October 10, 2025. She was the loving daughter of Alice and Anthony Papa and sister of Michele Papa and Alexandra Papa. Stephanie grew up in Merchantville sharing a lifetime of happy memories. She was an alumnus of Rutgers University, Cook College, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree,

On August 10th, Austin Gilliss, age 28, died in an automobile accident. Austin is the son of Adam and Peggy and brother to Michael, Adam and Steven. He was born and raised in town,  attended Merchantville School and Pennsauken High School and was a Health and Physical Education major at Camden County College and Rowan University. A Celebration of life gathering for Austin will be held next Friday August 22nd from 6:00-10:00 p.m.

John M. Coyle, age 81, of Merchantville, passed away peacefully at home on September 19, 2024. Loving husband of 60 years to Mary Ellen (nee McDermott). Devoted father of Patty (Paul Hoffman), Loretta (Tom Huslin), Jay (Pam Colozzi) and Joe (Chanin McDowell). Proud grandfather of Christian, Jessica (Wade Kennedy), Kristen (Brandon Traino), Olivia, Joseph, Cora and Kathleen and great-grandfather of Lilly Felicity. John was a graduate of Merchantville High School and a Fourth Degree Knight with St. Peter's

On August 13, 2025, former Merchantville resident, Sanders "Sandy" Thornburgh, Sr. peacefully returned to his Heavenly Father, surrounded in his home by those he loved. His departure was marked not by sorrow alone, but by gratitude for a life so deeply and fully lived. He was blessed with 58 years of marriage to his beloved wife, Mary Elizabeth (Barlow), and together raised twelve children: Sanders, Julie, Adam, Thomas, Patrick, Daniel, Robert, Laura, Emily, Katie, Jeremy, and Molly - many of those years in our town.

Jane H. Slattery (nee Morgan) of Merchantville, passed away peacefully at her home on May 31, 2025 at 86 years. Beloved wife for 66 years to Samuel T. Shirley B. Hannigan, age 93, of Merchantville, NJ passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. Born in Glen Rock, NJ to the late Ray V.
