The Merchantville Fire Department – Niagara Fire Company is actively looking for firefighter recruits from the community willing to serve in their neighborhood. Volunteers make our firehouse a home. We are on call to respond to a range of emergencies 24/7. Although these volunteers do not receive a salary, what they get in return is much more rewarding and valuable. Many volunteer firefighters have other full or part-time jobs but are ready to drop whatever they are doing, ready to face any emergency and become part of
a team whenever calls come in. We recommend anybody, especially younger people, just come in and try it. You might find a career path you never knew you wanted! You must be at least 18 years of age, of good health and undergo a physical exam. Think that's something you might want to be part of - let's talk. If you decide it's not for you maybe you'll be the one to help spread the word. Help us keep our doors open and keep our community and the surrounding communities safe.
