Hannah Hildago, Merchantville native and rising junior at Notre Dame, has spent three summers playing for the USA team and for the third time in her young career, she's a Team USA gold medalist. On July 7th, in Santiago, Chile, she scored 16 points to achieve a 92-84 win over defending champion Brazil in the championship game of the FIBA Women's AmeriCup 2025. with a game-high 19 points and four steals to help Team USA rally past Canada, 65-53, in the semi-finals. The United States have remained unbeaten throughout the FIBA AmeriCup tournament and with this win, Team USA will automatically qualify for the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup in Berlin next summer. Hidalgo won gold as a member of the 2022 U17 Women's World Cup and 2023 U19 Women's World Cup teams.
