Between 2011 and 2026 Democratic party registration has grown from 37.9% to 50.95%, Republican registration has fallen from 18.7% to 15.59% and, Unaffiliated numbers has dropped
to 31.9% from 43.%. Data for this article was collected as of May 10, 2026 and voter registration for the general election ended on May 12 so, percentages may have shifted slightly as a result. Non-major parties are not included in this survey, consequently, registration percentages will not add up to 100%. Unaffiliated voters in Ne Jersey can declare a party affiliation at the polls to vote in the primary.
