On Monday, March 9th, Mayor Brennan had the honor of recognizing hard working volunteers in the Borough. Our youngest ever recipient of the Volunteer of the Year Award went to Hailee N., a scout with BSA Troop 119. Hailee has stepped up to help at countless events and consistently goes above and beyond to better the Borough. Only a teenager herself, she is a true role model to young and old for how

to be an involved member of the community and create the kind of neighborhood you want to be a part of. Congratulations also go to Nicole Nurthen owner of Nicole Nurthen Photography and  winner of Business Owner of the Year for her efforts to bring attention and foot traffic to the downtown while also navigating being a small business owner. She is a terrific example of the good that can happen by giving back. Mayor Brennan also recognized Adrian Rowan for her service as a member of the Joint Land Use Board for 5 years. A town is only successful with volunteers and business owners willing to step up and show up. Thank you to all of Merchantville’s volunteers!
