Decision underway on BOE vacancy


MESThe Merchantville Board of Education received six applications from residents who wish to fill the unexpired term of Jacquelyn Fuentes. One application was withdrawn.The BOE appointed candidate will serve until the general election in November 2015. The applicants include: Sean Fitzgerald, David Guertler, Richard James, Steven Kipp and Mary Noelle Rasi,

Sean Fitzgerald - Treatment Technician for the Merchantville-Pennsauken Water Commission. He holds a degree from Camden County College, 2014. He attended Merchantville School and resides at 100 Volan Street.


David Guertler - Vice President, Shop Superintendent for Municipal Maintenance Company. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering and Construction Management from Drexel University in 2001. He resides at 115 Westminster Avenue with his wife, Natalie, and their two children.


Richard James - Retired. Independent Fine Art Professional, Pennsauken Township Board of Education 1970-2001. He attended the University of Denver. He resides at 130 Westminster Avenue with his wife, Lynn.



Steven Kipp - Information Systems Security Manager for L-3 Communications. He holds degrees from University of Maryland 1994, Joint Military Intelligence College and University of Pennsylvania - The Wharton School, He resides at 6 Clifton Avenue with his wife, Nicole, and their three children.


Mary Noelle Rasi - Vice President & Senior Wealth Planner II, PNC Wealth Management, professor Villanova University School of Law's Graduate Tax Program. She holds degrees from Wilkes University 1994, Rutgers University School of Law - Camden and Temple University - James E. Beasley School of Law. She resides at 48 Volan Street with her husband, Mark, and their two children.
