Shirley June Malunis, 87, passed away Nov. 10, 2021, at Providence Place, Pottsville. Born and raised in Llewellyn, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Petrick) Sedusky, she was a graduate of Temple School of Nursing, Philadelphia. Shirley spent her adult life working as an RN in Philadelphia while living in Merchantville, N.J and had been a resident at Providence Place, Pottsville, since 2016. Her parents, her husband, Joseph Malunis, and eight siblings predeceased her. Shirley is survived by her sister, Anita Sausser, Schuylkill Haven, and her nieces and nephews. Funeral services and interment are private. Hope DeSales Caines (DeSales) of Maple Shade, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, at Cooper Hospital on October 23, 2021. She was 90 years old. DeSales was born in Camden, NJ on April 4,1931 and grew up in Pennsauken, NJ and graduated from Merchantville High School, in Merchantville, NJ. In 1949 she met Robert B. Caines and they married on July 8, 1950 and went on to have two children. She work for the Pennsauken School District as an Administrative Secretary and continued there until she retired. She is survived by her son Robert B. Caines Jr. (Patricia) and her daughter DeSales A. Bryson (nee Caines) (Edward). Also survived by five grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Full obituary.

Dorothy Gabriella Tinney (nee Gerety) Of Delran, NJ, was called home to God at the age of 83 on October 17, 2021, with her family by her side. She was born the oldest of two children on March 24, 1938, to the late Edward J. and Dorothy I. (O'Connor) Gerety Sr. Dorothy was predeceased by her brother, Edward J. Gerety Jr. Dorothy was a graduate of Pierce Junior College in Philadelphia. She was the loving wife of Edward J. Tinney, Jr. for 59 years. She was the beloved mother of Constance A. Lees (David E.) and Colleen M. Tobin (the late Patrick). Dorothy was the cherished "Grandmom" and "Mom-Mom" to her six grandchildren. Her creative talents were showcased through her successful local art consignment shops "Crafter's Crossing" in Merchantville and Moorestown, NJ which she opened with two close friends. Robert J. Gerold "Robbie" passed away peacefully on October 17, 2021 with his loving family by his side. He is the beloved husband of Doreen Gerold (nee Kozak). Devoted father of Jamie Deeley (Brad), Ryan Gerold (Lauren), Gavin Gerold, Nolan Gerold, Owen Gerold, and Pop of Bradley, Reese, Ryen, Brennan, and Colin. Cherished son of Robert and Marie (nee Gaul) Gerold. Loving brother of Teresa Ruisch, Brian Gerold, Christina Lucia, and Marie McCrea (Ed). Dear son in law of Jean and the late Martin Kozak and brother in law of Marty Kozak, David Kozak (Richelle), Michael Kozak (Donna) and Cheryl Kozak. Raised in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia, he attended St. Anne School and North Catholic High School then, moved to Merchantville and quickly became the "self proclaimed" Mayor. He enjoyed listening to music and drinking beers with family and friends in his backyard "paradise", was the life of the party and always made you feel like you were family. Diagnosed with metastatic melanoma in 2011, he fought courageously through many clinical trials that gave him more ten years and will save countless others. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral Saturday October 23, 2021 from 8:00-10:45 am in St. Anne Church (upper) 2328 East Lehigh Ave. Philadelphia. Joan Doris Behlau, 84, of Cherry Hill, passed away October 12, 2021. She was predeceased by her parents and late husband, James Behlau, of 63 years. Joan was the cherished and caring mom of Terri (Anthony) Fratterelli and Brenda (Mark) Del Rossi and grandmom to Jenna and Kevin. James and Joan were high school sweethearts and graduates from Merchantville High School in the 1950's and later married at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Merchantville in 1956. A lifelong resident in Cherry Hill and retail clerk for Pathmark. An avid supporter of Humane Society and Animal Welfare Association, donations may be made in her name to the Animal Welfare Association or Animal Adoption Center. Full obituary.

John Conner, 88, died Sept. 9 at Hospice of the Sacred Heart. He was the widower of the former Catherine Ross, who died in 2010. Born in Florence, N.J., he was a son of the late Robert and Anna Mae Hall Conner. After attending public schools in Merchantville, N.J., he served with the United States Navy and worked at Chamberlain Manufacturing in Scranton until retirement. He is survived by a son, Anthony Conner; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Carthy; and siblings, William Conner, Catherine Elizabeth Powell, Margaret Neuman and Robert W. Robert Welty, Sr., 91, passed away on September 20, 2021 at Cedar Grove Respiratory and Nursing Home in Williamstown, NJ. He was predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Jessie Anna Welty (Dexter), his brother, John Cashner, and his sisters, Shirley Rhine (Cashner) and Judith Harter-Wary (Cashner). Robert is survived by his son, Robert Welty, Jr., his daughter, Donna Lee Robinson (Mark), his son, Curtis Frederick Welty (Peggy Sue), six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021, at 9:30 am at Inglesby and Sons Funeral Home at 2426 Cove Road, Pennsauken, NJ.
