According to a recent article in the C-P, South Jersey has seen a growing population within recent years. And some of the fastest-growing towns in South Jersey include little ol' us! Merchantville Borough ranks second in data collected from the United States Census Bureau's annual estimates of the resident population for minor civil subdivisions from April 1, 2020, through July 1, 2024. Our town grew by 10.60% from 2020 (3,815 residents) to 2024 (4,226 residents)

- most of that growth seen in 2024. Woolwich Township in Gloucester County was first, growing by 16.55%, then, Bordentown Township in Burlington County, up by 7.84% and Cherry Hill, showing a population increase of 5.96% during the same time period.
