At Saints Circles last week, SPS Principal, Mrs. O'Callaghan, reminded students that Jesus told the story of a man who was attacked on the road, and was close to death. A man from a different culture came by, and helped him, even though the two cultures were at odds. On Thursday, January 16th, the Girls Garnets from Haddon Heights High School won their fifth basketball game in a row and improved to 9-3 overall - extending their winning streak - and 6-1 in the Colonial Conference Liberty Division, a game behind first-place Haddon Township. Emma Harris buried four 3-pointers and scored a game-high 18 points to lead Haddon Heights past Haddonfield 39-33 in Haddonfield. Haddon Height's High girls softball loss is Oklahoma's gain. Merchantville native and Haddon Heights High School softball standout, Sophia Bordi, has re-classified and will be missing her senior season to join the Oklahoma Sooners - four-time reigning college softball champions. Bordi had committed to the collegiate team in September 2024. A two-time Gatorade New Jersey Player of the Year, Bordi's stats read like an all-star lineup.
