Haddon Height's High girls softball loss is Oklahoma's gain. Merchantville native and Haddon Heights High School softball standout, Sophia Bordi, has re-classified and will be missing her senior season to join the Oklahoma Sooners - four-time reigning college softball champions. Bordi had committed to the collegiate team in September 2024. A two-time Gatorade New Jersey Player of the Year, Bordi's stats read like an all-star lineup. On Monday evening, September 23rd, Merchantville’s St. Peter School student choir had the honor of performing the National Anthem before the Phillies against the Chicago Cubs. The opportunity also served as a fundraiser as the school sold 340 tickets to the game with proceeds going to support music and drama programs.
