9:15 AM Update: Merchantville Public Works has been out plowing the roads since 4AM. Each street has been plowed twice. (There has been an issue in gaining access to Merwit Court that is currently being addressed.) Despite these efforts, the roadways still remain in difficult driving condition. It is CRITICAL for the Borough’s snow removal efforts that residents stay off the roads except for emergency circumstances. Merchantville remains under a state of snow emergency as declared by the governor.

The Department of Public Works would like to ask all residents who can remove their cars from the streets to do so in order to assist them with plowing and clearing borough roads. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated. Please please call the Public Works department at 856-665-0590 or the Borough Clerk at 662-2474 x 103 with any concerns regarding plowing or your streets. In the event of an emergency please call 911. For non-emergencies contact the Merchantville Police at 856-662-0500. Residents are also asked to comply with the "No Parking When Road Snow Covered" signs which are posted on Park Avenue, Centre Street and Maple Avenue to assist the snow plows in clearing the roads after a storm. Once the roadway has been plowed "curb to curb", residents may resume parking on these streets. Any questions regarding parking can be addressed to Chief Wayne Bauer at 856-662-0507.
