Please join us on Saturday, April 27th from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. to celebrate Arbor Day with a FREE tree sapling/seed/plant swap sponsored by your Merchantville Sustainability partners! This event features gardeners and seed enthusiasts form our Garden Club, Incredible Edible, Green Team and Shade Commission sharing and swapping saplings, plants and seeds to start or expand your home garden with vegetation that's well-suited

to our specific environment an climate. There will be something for everyone who gathers at The Station Coffee, 10 East Chestnut Avenue, to trade seed secrets, share advice, and help grow and maintain Merchantville's permaculture of renewable resources and self-sustaining ecosystem. 2024 Arbor Day takes place on the last Friday in April - April 26th - and sprouted from the mind of a zealous tree lover named Julius Sterling Morton. A popular Arbor Day tradition is to plant a tree in honor or memory of a loved one. Learn some interesting facts about this day, and learn about the power of trees, which support our well-being!
