Memorial Day was created to honor military veterans who sacrificed their lives in service to our country. It’s a solemn holiday, often observed through acts of service and Veterans’ cemeteries throughout the country need volunteers to lay flowers or plant flags on the graves of military veterans. American Legion F.W. Grigg Post 68 will be remembering veterans at several cemeteries on Saturday, Monday and Wednesday - May 17th, 19th and 21st - and are asking for volunteers to help place flags on their gravesites. These family friendly events

are great opportunities for children to witness and learn about the sacrifices made by those in the armed services to protect our nation and preserve our democracy. We will meet on Saturday, May 17th, at 10:00 a.m. at Bethel Memorial Cemetery - Cove Road & Westfield Avenue, on Monday, May 19th, at 6:00 p.m. at Sunset Memorial Park - Union Avenue and National Highway, and, Wednesday, May 21st, at 10:00 a.m. at Jordan Lawn Cemetery at the 3600 block of Haddonfield Road.
