Joseph W. Corney Jr., age 86 formerly of Pennsauken, passed away at Cooper Medical Center in Camden on October, 23, 2019. Beloved husband of the late Mary (nee Ammazzaorsi); Devoted father of Joseph W. III (Antoinette) and Michael D. (Tracey); Loving grandfather of J.R., Vanessa, Jacob, Talia, Michael Jr., great grandfather of Alayna and Joselyn, and dear brother of Millie Rhoda, Midgie Massara, Linda Graham, and the late Doris Penn, Leon Corney and William Corney. Roberta Elaine Lewin of Chestertown, Maryland, died on October 6, 2019. She was 82. She was born September 18, 1937 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late William S. and Claire Blake Clark. She was a 1955 graduate of Lansdowne High School, a 1959 graduate of Temple University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Theatre, and later earned a master’s in Education from Salisbury University. She married Earl Purnell Lewin on June 27, 1959, they resided in East Lansdowne, PA, Collingswood, NJ, Merchantville, NJ - where she was a Youth Group Director with Merchantville Presbyterian Church, and for the last 30 years in Chestertown, MD. Oran Leon DeLoach died and entered into the joy of heaven on Monday, September 30, 2019.  Leon, as he was affectionately called, was 81 at the time of his death.  He was a Christian, Husband, Father, Grandfather, Teacher and Caregiver for all he came in contact with.  He was born on March 7, 1938 in Carrollton, Mississippi.  Leon was preceded in death by his first wife of 27 years, Donna Whitten DeLoach.  Leon is survived by his wife of 23 years, Jolynn Urbanelli DeLoach, children, Kim DeLoach Tomlin (Paul), Lee Whitten DeLoach (Sandi) and Gerald Wilson DeLoach (Doreen), step children Erica Levin (Daniel), Rachel Levin, Aaron Levin, Daniel Levin (Kim), and grandchildren Paul Tomlin, Donna Tomlin, Elizabeth DeLoach, Lukas DeLoach, Lily DeLoach, Tyler DeLoach, and Zoey Levin, along with many nieces and nephews. You are invited to join us for his service on Saturday October 5th at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Merchantville located at 10 W Maple Ave.  Visitation will be from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. with the service starting promptly at 11:00am. Linda Jean Maratea, age 71, (nee Morgan) of Ocean Pines, MD formerly of Merchantville, NJ moved from this life early Tuesday morning September 17, 2019. She is survived by her husband and love of her life for 53 years James M. Maratea, and children Jenny A. Karpinski (Jim), Jill M. Forte (Michael) and Patrick J. Maratea (Elizabeth). She was the adored grandmother of Elizabeth, Julia, Francesca and Lainey. She is survived by her brother Bruce Morgan and was predeceased by a brother Daniel Morgan. Robert J. Caruso, Sr., age 90 years passed away peacefully on August 29, 2019. Beloved husband of the late Shirley (nee Falco), he is survived by his children: Robyn Crain (Richard) of Berlin, Robert Jr. (Barbara) of Atco, Anthony (Melissa) of Voorhees, Andrea Cortellessa (Martin) of Northfield & Loret McClain (Stephen) of Berlin. Also survived by his sister-in-law Eleanor Caruso and brother-in-law Joseph Falco. Bob grew up in Merchantville, NJ, graduating high school in 1949. Robert M. Evans, a retired computer executive, Air Force veteran and and avid photographer, died Thursday from complications of pneumonia at his home in the Cloisters in the Woodbrook neighborhood of Baltimore County. He was 89. He was the son of Donald Irving Evans Jr., a DuPont Co. draftsman, and his wife, Betty T. Middleton, was born and raised in Pennsauken Township, New Jersey. A scholar-athlete, Mr. Evans was a 1950 graduate of Merchantville High School, and because of his athletic prowess as an outstanding basketball player, he earned an athletic scholarship to the Johns Hopkins University, where he played forward on the university’s basketball team and was the top scorer. A visitation for Mr. Evans will be held from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Mitchell-Wiedefeld Funeral Home, York and Overbrook roads, Rodgers Forge. In addition to his wife and son, Mr. Evans is survived by a daughter, Sally Lee Yost of Pinehurst; a sister, Eunice Buzby of Detroit; and three grandchildren. Full obituary.
