Pride Month, sometimes specified as LGBTQ Pride Month, is a month-long observance dedicated to the celebration of LGBTQ pride, commemorating the contributions of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer culture and community. Merchantville’s primary celebration is a Flag Raising and an event named Lip Sync with PRIDE. The event is generally held on a weekend and we're still waiting for this year's plans to be firmed up. In 2025 it included a DragQueen Story Time,
Lip Sync Battle and lots of activities including food trucks, vendors, and music. Awards are given for the best overall performance, best costume, and most creative act.
Nearby events include: Pride at Peak Fashion Show in Audubon featuring a fashion show, music, and local vendors. Haddon Township Pride: A massive two-day event (June 5–6) with a community night, drag performances, and a massive parade down Haddon Avenue.
