Merchantville's PTA Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee (DEI) had a fantastic turnout for their service projects on Martin Luther King Day. They made over 500 sandwiches, 40 table centerpieces, and 200 utensil
packets for the Cathedral Kitchen from donations by by MES families. The students also made beautiful valentines to distribute to our homebound Merchantville neighbors. Many thanks to Carrie Kidd, Brigid Murray, Brian Barnhart, the DEI committee, Love in Motion Youth Group, MES Girls Basketball team and all our MES parents, students and alumni who donated items and or their time. It was a great morning doing important work in the spirit of Dr. King with our wonderfully generous MES community. “Everybody can be great because anybody can serve. You don’t have to have a college degree to serve. You don’t have to make your subject and verb agree to serve. You only need a heart full of grace. A soul generated by love.” ~ Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
