On Sunday, November 2nd, the Merchantville Fire Department was assisted by Pennsauken Fire Department Engine Company 113, Tower Ladder 11, and Battalion 11, Westmont Fire Company, Maple Shade Fire Department and Mount Laurel Fire Department on an all hands dwelling fire that started in the attic at the Grace Church parsonage, 9 East Maple Avenue. Pennsauken Engine 113 operated as the first due engine company to help successfully

extinguish the fire. A message to family and friends was posted yesterday on the Grace Church FaceBook page stating, "All residents of 9 E. Maple Ave. and their pets are okay. Thank you all for your care and concern. We do not have any other information at this time. Out of care and consideration for the residents and our church leadership, please refrain from calling anyone at this time. If and when there is more information to share, it will be communicated. Please keep our church family at 9 E. Maple Ave. in your prayers. Thank you."
