Merchantville's Historical Society presents Philadelphia Football History Night on Tuesday evening, October 6, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. upstairs in the Merchantville Community Center, 212 Somerset Avenue. Please join the Merchantville Historical Society as we host speaker Brian Michael, co- author of "The Philadelphia Eagles - Images of Sports" and "Frankford Yellow Jackets - Philadelphia's First NFL Team" for a night of history about professional football in the city of Philadelphia.
Brian will cover everything from Philadelphia's first NFL team, the Frankford Yellow Jackets, to the formation of the Philadelphia Eagles. This event is in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Frankford Yellow Jackets winning the NFL Championship in 1926 - the first ever in Philadelphia!
