The Monday, February 23rd the monthly Borough Council caucus meeting is cancelled due to the storm. Please be patient as our Department of Public Works continues to plow and clear the roads. A few reminders and tips as you dig out from the storm. Reminder that trash will be pushed back a day due to snow. Please Do Not shovel the snow into the street. Please remember Safety First. This snow is heavy, take many breaks. Those with medical conditions such as heart disease,

high blood pressure, etc. should avoid shoveling. After a surge in demand from the recent snowstorm, Camden County's free snow-shoveling service for seniors and disabled residents will be limited to those with urgent medical needs. To request service (856-783-4808 ext. 5035); crews work during daylight (8AM-3PM) and don't supply salt.

Please only use 9-1-1 for emergencies. If you see a problem on a county road, please call our 24-hour hotline at (856) 566-2980 to report it to the Camden County Department of Public Works. www.camdencounty.com.

Parking is PROHIBITED on the following SNOW EMERGENCY Routes and Roadways.
We ask all residents to please park in driveways or other off-street areas whenever possible.
Keeping these routes clear allows Public Works and emergency services to maintain safe travel lanes and respond quickly when needed.

Borough of Merchantville Winter Storm Emergency Numbers. 

Governor Mikie Sherrill declared that New Jersey will enter a State of Emergency effective at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 22, 2026 in anticipation
of a severe winter storm expected to cause hazardous weather conditions across the state.
