Ladies, flaunt your hats, and gents, don that bow tie! Merchantville School's largest fundraiser of the year is almost here. The PTA's Kentucky Derby Benefit & Auction is scheduled for May 4th, 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. at the Merchantville Community Center, 212 Somerset Ave. This basket fundraiser is held on the day of the Kentucky Derby. Dress up, wear your best hat and win big at the races. Tickets are $25 per person. Get your tickets here.

Merchantville School hosted the new student Pre-K and Kindergarten Round-up on Wednesday, April 10th. It was exciting to meet our new students that will be joining us in September. Enrollees and their parents had an opportunity to meet teachers, classmates and get the lay of the land! As you can see they were very engaged in building legos and playing.

Hey, MES families come enjoy a great night out at the park, on Tuesday, April 9th is Phillies vs. Washington Nationals Dollar Dog Night! The Philadelphia Phillies have had a historical off season with the addition of Bryce Harper, JT Realmuto and Andrew McCutchen. They will be a force in the NL East! Get your $5 tickets to the game and spend some quality time with your Merchantville friends watching Harper face off against his old team, the Washington Nationals! T.H.E. Council organized a women's personal care drive at Camden Catholic High School for Joseph's House of Camden as a part of their Women's History Month efforts. Thanks to those who contributed to the cause, we will help make some women more comfortable and provide much needed items to them in the coming months. T.H.E (Together Honoring Everyone) Council is a student driven group with the intent to celebrate racial and cultural diversity at Camden Catholic. T.H.E. Council is moderated by faculty members and includes participation from students in each grade level. As our world continues to evolve, Camden Catholic students, faculty, staff and administration need to continue to encourage our community’s well-being, and help to foster collaborative learning among our many diverse students in pursuit of our school’s mission: to educate lifelong learners and leaders in a global society in the Catholic tradition.

Early Childhood Extended School Year 2019 – Teacher & Aide Dates – July 1 to August 1 - Monday to Thursday excluding July 4th. Student Hours: 9:00 – 11:30. Teacher and Aide Hours: 8:30 – 11:45. Certified Special Education Teacher at $40 per hour. Paraprofessional Aide at $16 per hour Summer Speech services as needed in IEPs Flexible Summer dates with time incorporated into the ESY program. Up to 30 hours for the summer at MEA contracted rate of $40 per hour. Certified Speech and Language Specialist Summer Reading Program Coordinator Develop a summer reading program for students in grades 1 – 8 that will be implemented in the Summer 2019. Work needs to be completed no later than May 17. This is a stipend position for $500. It can be shared between two people if the parties agree Summer Music Program Coordinator Coordination and implementation of our summer music program. Working with the administration to determine the best program time. Up to 50 hours at a contracted rate of $40 per hour Summer Enhancement Program June 24 – July 25 from Monday – Thursday: 1:30 – 3:00 Mondays and Wednesdays ELA. Tuesdays and Thursdays Math.
