Yesterday, Mayor Brennan had exciting news for our town sharing that Merchantville's Joint Land Use Board approved the site plan application for the redevelopment of the old PNC Bank Building on Centre Street the night before. An infusion of $850,000 in federal funds should substantially upgrade a paved path here known as the "Merchantville Mile". One of the borough's biggest projects in years is to add lights along a path already popular with daytime pedestrians and bicyclists, officials said.
