Joan Ellis, 85
Joan (LeClare) Ellis loving wife, mother, grandmother and caregiver, passed away peacefully on July 16 at Volante of Hamilton in Robbinsville, NJ. Born in New York City on July 17, 1939, Joan grew up in Jamesburg, NJ and graduated from St. Peter’s High School in New Brunswick. Hannah Brings Home Gold
Hannah Hildago, Merchantville native and rising junior at Notre Dame, has spent three summers playing for the USA team and for the third time in her young career, she's a Team USA gold medalist. On July 7th, in Santiago, Chile, she scored 16 points to achieve a 92-84 win over defending champion Brazil in the championship game of the FIBA Women's AmeriCup 2025. East Chestnut Closure
Public Notice: Beginning on July 7, 2025, East Park Ave will be reopened to traffic. However, East Chestnut Avenue from Gilmore Avenue to Centre Street will be closed due to road work near the Gilmore/Chestnut/Park intersection. No through traffic will be permitted at anytime while road work is in progress. During this time residents ofEast Chestnut Avenue will still have access to their property.
