Destroy your personal documents May 5th from 8:30 a.m. to noon at Camden County College, Peter Cheeseman Road, Blackwood.  To help in the fight against identity theft, the Camden County Freeholder Board is sponsoring a free shredding day for Camden County residents wanting to destroy documents containing personal information.  Industrial size shredder trucks will be on site to destroy private documents while residents watch.

Due to a problem with the existing web site domain registration Grace Church is moving their web site to www.GraceChurchMerchantville.org They will no longer use the old site, called gracechurchmerchantville.com but hope to eventually regain use of that domain name in the future, and use it to refer people to the new site. Unfortunately, the change is beyond their control and it will take a week to get the new location set up.

Amateur and professional photographers are invited to submit their best images from the DRVPA Cassic Towns in seven different categories including: community, local history, main street, parks and recreation, people, residential, and seasonal. The deadline for the contest is April 14. Online voting will begin on April 15.

Merchantville will celebrate Arbor Day on Saturday, April 28th. The Merchantville Shade Tree Commission will be planting a tree to honor Vern Collins at 11:00 a.m. on the Merchantville Circle. All residents and friends are invited to attend. Vern was a devoted member of the committee for more that 35 years and was responsible for many of the beautiful trees that borough residents enjoy to this day.
