What a fantastic start to fluke season. Flounder pounders were all over the flatties in the South Jersey back bays during the opening weekend. Several fluke hit the scales on opening day including a 2.93 pounder caught by 9-year-old Griffin Barber from Stone Harbor and a 3.51-pound specimen decked by Jack Morrissey from Merchantville. Morrissey’s fish was taken from Patty’s Hole behind Avalon and his crew had four keepers all between 19 and 21¼ inches, and all fish fell for minnows and squid. http://vineland.dj/18yhJSx

Merchantville Fishing Club meets the 2nd Monday of each month at the Merchantville Community Center at 8:00 pm. Visitors are also welcome. MLL ready for 2013 season

The fun officially begins on Saturday, April 6th with the annual Opening Day festivities.
