On Wednesday June 19, 2024 we commemorate the end of slavery in the United States. The Juneteenth Flag, is a symbolic representation of that event. Mayor Brennan extended a special round of applause to the Merchantville School eighth grade students who planned and executed all of the carnival games and relay races we enjoyed at the 150th Birthday Sunday. The 8th grade did a great job coming up with some creative games including: Ducks in a Pond, Mystery Box Guessing, Ping-Pong Toss, Red Cup Stacking, Milk Bottle Toss, Wiffle Ball and Kick Ball. This week our NJHS students is lead the way spreading the joy of reading during "Read Across Merchantville School Week" and kicked off the festivities with buddy reading sessions, fostering a love for books from elementary to middle school.
