Freeholders Eliminate Park Fees for County Residents
The Camden County Parks Department will no longer collect fees from county residents for the use of athletic fields or picnic areas. Camden County residents will continue to be asked to apply for park use permits to ensure the facilities they are requesting are available, but the fees will no longer apply to residents.
Dangerous Heat Through Saturday
The US National Weather Service Philadelphia/Mount Holly message on July 2, 2026 5:45 AM EDT. High temperatures through Saturday will be 95-105°F for most areas (hottest days expected to be today and Friday), then some cooling Sunday through Tuesday. Overnight low temperatures only dropping into the mid 70s to low 80s will offer little to no relief. Daytime heat index values are forecast to be between 100-110°F through Saturday, including area beaches and mountainous areas.
New emergency notification system
The Camden County Office of Emergency Management is implementing a new emergency notification system, or reverse 911 system, that will keep Camden County residents informed in the event of an emergency. Residents and businesses may add or delete phone numbers by visiting www.camdencounty.com and clicking on the icon for Global Connect.

Gov. Mikie Sherrill says a new online portal to show interactions between ICE agents and members of the public in New Jersey to report Federal Misconduct is now live.
